Nearby Attractions​

  • Desktell allows hotels, villas, and resorts to highlight nearby attractions and famous tourism places, helping guests discover and plan visits to local points of interest through the Guest Service Portal.

Nearby Attractions Settings​

  • Set up and manage how nearby tourist attractions are displayed on the Guest Service Portal. Add a display name and description, choose whether the attraction is active, and define the order in which it appears. This helps guests easily discover local places of interest during their stay.

How to update the Nearby Attractions Settings?​

  1. Navigate to your workspace

    • Log in to your desktell account using proper credentials.
    • Click on your workspace link to enter the workspace.

  2. Navigate to the Customize CSP

    • Click on the Administration tab in the top navigation bar.

    • In the Administration section, click on the Customize CSP tab in the side navigation bar.

    • In the Desktell CSP, navigate to the Settings tab under NEARBY ATTRACTIONS label.

    • Update the Attraction Settings by filling in the necessary details:

      1. Display Name: Give a suitable name for the nearby attractions tile visible in the room service portal.
      2. Display Description: Give a short description for the nearby attractions tile.
      3. Display Order:Provide the display order number at which the tile will be visible in the portal.

      NOTE:

      • The tile active status can be updated using the IsActive checkbox(click on the checkbox, then save the updates by clicking in the Save button).

    • Click on the Save button to save the updated information.

How to add Nearby Attractions ?​

  1. Navigate to the Customize CSP tab in the Administration section.

  2. Add a New Nearby Attraction by following the steps given below

    • In Desktell CSP, navigate to the Nearby Attractions tab under NEARBY ATTRACTIONS label.

    • In the Nearby Attractions tab, click on the New Attraction button at the top, and fill in the following details -

      1. Name: Specify the name of the attraction.
      2. Description: Provide a suitable description for the attraction.
      3. Location: Provide a descriptive location of the attraction.
      4. Map URL: Provide the map URL of the attraction (optional).
      5. Timings: Provide the operational timings of the attractions.

      NOTE:

      • The tile active status can be updated using the IsActive checkbox.

    • Click the Save button to save the setting updates.

  3. To edit a nearby attraction,

    • Navigate to the Nearby Attractions tab under the NEARBY ATTRACTIONS label.
    • Click on the respective attraction link that you wish to edit.
    • On the attraction information page, click on the Edit Attraction button, and make the necessary updates.

  4. To update the active status of an attraction, there are two ways -

    1. New attraction creation - The active status can be updated by clicking on the IsActive checkbox, then clicking on the Save button to save the updates.
    2. Existing attraction - The active status can be updated by clicking on the IsActive toggle button and accepting the dialog box message for the respective attraction.

How to add and delete images of the nearby attractions ?​

  • Navigate to the Nearby Attractions tab under NEARBY ATTRACTIONS label.

  • Click on the respective attraction link for which you want to upload an image.

  • On the attraction informaton page, click on Choose File button under Attraction Image label.

  • Select the image from your desktop and upload it by clicking on the Upload button.

  • To delete an image, click on the delete icon located at the bottom of the uploaded image.
