Asset Types
What is an Asset Type?
An Asset Type is a category or classification used to group similar assets together. It helps in organizing and managing assets more efficiently by defining a common structure for assets that share similar characteristics. For example:
-
Asset Type: Equipment
- Assets: Elevators & escalators, Boilers & geysers, Water pumps
-
Asset Type: Furniture
- Assets: Beds & mattresses, Conference tables
By categorizing assets into types, you can streamline maintenance, reporting, and tracking processes.
