Asset Types

What is an Asset Type?

An Asset Type is a category or classification used to group similar assets together. It helps in organizing and managing assets more efficiently by defining a common structure for assets that share similar characteristics. For example:

  • Asset Type: Equipment

    • Assets: Elevators & escalators, Boilers & geysers, Water pumps
  • Asset Type: Furniture

    • Assets: Beds & mattresses, Conference tables

By categorizing assets into types, you can streamline maintenance, reporting, and tracking processes.
